The Lomond Innovation Awards have been created to discover and celebrate the businesses, products and ideas shaping the future of food.
We’re looking for Scottish food and beverage businesses with an innovative product, concept or approach that demonstrates originality and has genuine commercial potential.
Whether you’re developing a new product, using technology in a different way, tackling sustainability challenges or creating something that meets an emerging consumer need, we want to hear your story.
Who can enter?
The awards are open to Scottish businesses operating within the food and beverage industry that can demonstrate genuine innovation within their product, concept, process or business.
You don’t need to be an established household name. We’re interested in new ideas, emerging businesses and innovations at different stages of their journey.
Important notes:
Applicants must be available to attend Taste of Lomond at the Glasgow SEC, 23rd – 25th February 2027.
Lomond Wholesale does not handle or sell alcohol. Applications relating to alcohol products will not be accepted.

Food Innovation
New products, processes, concepts or ideas that challenge the status quo.
Sustainability
Innovations that reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency or contribute to a more sustainable food system.
Technology
New technology, processes or applications that are changing how food is created, produced, packaged or delivered.
Health & Nutrition
Products and ideas responding to changing consumer needs and creating new approaches to health and nutrition.
Commercial Potential
Ideas that don’t just sound good on paper – but have the potential to succeed in the marketplace.
The Prize
The winner of the Lomond Innovation Awards will receive:
£2500 Cash Prize
The winner will receive a £2500 cash prize.
6-month listing with Lomond Wholesale
The winning product will be listed by Lomond Wholesale for a six-month trial period.
Marketing
Including professional product photography, a dedicated video feature, six months of promotional flier activity, six months of web banner advertising and monthly social media promotion for six months.
Business Support
A meeting with the Lomond buying team to explore product launch and marketing activation, plus a presentation opportunity with the field sales team, route-to-market discussions and foodservice pricing guidance.
Taste of Lomond 2028
A complimentary stand at the 2028 Taste of Lomond trade show.

The Lomond Innovation Awards final will take place at Taste of Lomond 2027 – Lomond Wholesale’s flagship food and hospitality trade show, bringing together chefs, hospitality professionals, food producers, suppliers and industry innovators from across Scotland and beyond.
Across two days at the SEC Glasgow, Taste of Lomond is a place to discover, taste, connect and be inspired, showcasing the latest products, ideas and innovations across Foodservice, Locally Sourced and Clarks Speciality.
With hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of food and hospitality professionals coming together under one roof, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate the businesses pushing the industry forward.
And in 2027, the spotlight will also be on our Innovation Awards finalists.
The finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their innovation to the industry, with the winners revealed live at Taste of Lomond.
