Wow, what can we say? What a fantastic day Taste @ Lomond 2024 was.
It was great to see so many new and familiar faces, we had a record-breaking turn out of customers (surpassing last year’s customer count before 12pm!) and the feedback we’ve had from everyone has been incredibly positive.
Our suppliers made a phenomenal effort with their stands, the quality of produce and products on display was fantastic and visually the stands were the best we have ever seen at our shows.
With over 80 stands from foodservice and locally sourced suppliers, we went bigger and better this year by introducing food trucks from Aviko, Scrocchiarella and Essential Cuisine, where our customers got the chance to try some freshly prepared food.
Some of our stands were also cooking up delicious bites for our customers including Chinese favourites from King Asia, exceptional fresh ravioli from the guys at Raviollie, and pub grub treats from Kepak.
Our customers were also treated to lots of fresh local produce including delicious smoked trout from Tobermory Fish Co and quality Scottish meats from Browns Food Group.
Treats were also in abundance with freshly baked pastries from Bridor, sweet treats from Cake & Breadwinner Bakery, and we were spoilt for choice with ice cream from Taste Of Arran and Marshfield Farm Ice Cream.
As with every year, our surplus stock was donated to Fareshare who then shared it out with local charities.
Here are the stats from this year’s show:
• Over 200kg of food was donated
• The equivalent of 476 drinks were donated
• Over 35 charities were helped
• 0.4 tonnes of Co2 prevented from being wasted
We wanted to say a massive thank you to our Lomond team for their hard work and support in putting Taste @ Lomond 2024 together and their dedication to ensuring the day was as successful as it was. We also wanted to thank all our exhibiting suppliers for coming along and making such an effort with their products and stands. Finally we’d like to thank all of our customers who came along, we appreciate the efforts that were put in to ensure you made it, it wouldn’t be Taste @ Lomond without you.
Taste @ Lomond will be back and bigger than ever for 2 days on the 26th & 27th February 2025 and we are excited to announce that it will be alongside the ScotHot show at the Glasgow SEC. Make sure to pop the dates in your diaries!
